Hot “Cereal”
On a chilly winter morning, you’ll thank me for this recipe. Not
only does this have a low-glycemic load, but it has more protein
than three eggs. It’ll keep you going for hours!
½ cup fl axseed meal
½ cup almond meal
½ cup vanilla whey protein powder
¼ cup wheat bran
¼ cup oat bran
¼ teaspoon salt
Simply mix everything together and store in a snap-top container
in your fridge or freezer. To prepare cereal, place 1⁄3 cup
of the mixture in a bowl and stir in 1⁄3 cup of hot water. Let the
mixture stand for a minute or so to thicken, then add milk or
cream and the sweetener of your choice to taste. A little cinnamon
is good too.
